When is Kingdom Season 2 Coming Out?
According to Netflix, Kingdom Season 2 is going to be released on Netflix in March, 2020.
UPDATE: Kingdom Season 2 Release Date confirmed 13 March 2020
The cast of Kingdom announced in a video interview in October last year.
New casts joining the series are reportedly Park Byung Eun and Kim Tae Hoon and Jun Ji-hyun! It’s Ji-hyun’s first role in quite a long time, so I’m pretty excited.
Production for the second season of Kingdom started in February 2019 and should have lasted four to six months with some delays in between, so it might be safe to say that it’s a wrap by now – though we don’t have any official annoucements about that yet.
Netflix has yet to announce an exact date for the release of Season 2, but has given us a March 2020 timeline, so that’s the time of the year to look out for.
More about Kingdom
Written by Kim Eun-hee and directed by Kim Seong-hun, Kingdom (Season 1) was released on Netflix in 2019 and receive wide acclaim from viewers and critics. Pretty great review scores on Rotten Tomatoes (89%) and IMDB ( 8.2/10 ), I might add.
The asian counterpart of “The Walking Dead”, Kingdom goes above and beyond the typical zombie genre. Set in medieval times, with medieval weapons (read: no guns or explosives), the series overlays a tense political climate amidst an unknown zombie disease – kicking up the fear factor many notches up.
I mean, what do you do when you have no guns, no explosives, and human politics trying to kill you while the zombie contagion is spreading?
If you haven’t already watched this one, I highly recommend you do.
