Inspired by the essay “Things Left Behind” by Kim Sae-byul, Move to Heaven is about a young man with Asperger syndrome and his uncle work as “trauma cleaners”. Unlike regular cleaners, professional trauma cleaners exclusively work on scenes of violent accidents or crimes. Geu-ru (Tang Joon-sang), lived with Asperger syndrome. His father has always been his only guardian. When the old man died, Geu-ru took over his father’s job as a trauma cleaner. But given his condition, he has to have a new guardian. He is left in the care of his uncle, Sang-gu (Lee Je-hoon), an ex-convict and whom he has met for the first time. The pair now become partners as they take over the cleaning business. As they go about the job, they uncover untold stories about the deceased. Meanwhile, Sang-gu is also struggling to overcome his painful past with Gae-ru’s father and the traumatic incident that landed him behind bars.
